What Is Mines and Meadows?
Mines and Meadows is an ATV, dirt bike, and side-by-side riding resort and campground. There are over 84 miles of recreational trails on 877 acres of land. However, the unique attraction at this location is the underground riding through abandoned limestone mines.
This adventure takes guests near underground lakes in total darkness for an epic journey. Visitors can also pay $5 for a separate mine tour, purchase a day pass for $25 to ride the trails in their vehicle, or stay for $25-55/night at the campground.

Take Guided Mine Tours
There are two tours available at Mines and Meadows. The shortest, at 1.5 hours, is the Afternoon Express Tour. This tour includes a 15-minute orientation, a loop around Trail 1, an underground mine tour, and a loop around Trail 2.
The more extended option is the Sunrise Day Tour at 4.5 hours. This tour includes a 30-minute orientation, two hours of riding, a lunch break, an underground mine tour, and a tour through some abandoned mining sites.
The coolest part of either tour is heading underground and winding through the caverns. The guide will stop and tell guests the history of the mine in complete darkness. Guests will see a three-acre underground lake before returning above ground. Inside, the mine stays around 55 degrees, so it’s crucial to dress appropriately.
